Is there a good reason to deny the aspected mage astral projection? It's my opinion they are gimped enough by disallowing them access to 80% of their spells and spirits; denying them astral projection seems like less of a limitation and more like denying them the ability to actually do their job as the mage (which includes handling the astral side of affairs). Should we just give them astral projection, and let their other limitations be the main source of their 30-Karma bonus?

I agree 100%. Every party needs a mage and, thanks to that limitation, aspected mages just don't cut it.

Unless EB has a counter-argument, I vote we Make It So.

If we don't end up doing something like Sphynx's point-build magic (which would end up letting Groggies buy Projection anyway), I think I'm down with it.

What about Adepts? Not for free, obviously, but should it be available the way Perception is?

Agreed. How much does Perception cost? 0.5? Maybe a sort of Limited Projection for an additional 0.5, or the full deal for an additional 1.0, seems fair to me.

Under base SR3, Astral Perception is available for the low, low price of two (2) power points.

Ludicrous, I know. 0.5 sounds about right at first blush.

That would be awesome. Nothing adds danger to the astral plane like mage-killing adepts flying around. Dropping astral perception to 1 or .5, and adding projection at 1 or 2 seems reasonable.
